Auto Internet Connect at 2 AM & Disconnect at 8 AM

Try this method:
First Step:
Create two batch files
1)
Open notepad type the following:
rasdial [connection name] [user name] [password]
for example
rasdial broadband myusername mypassword
save the above file as connect.bat
2)
Open notepad type the following
rasdial [connection name] /disconnect
for example
rasdial broadband /disconnect
save the above file as disconnect.bat
Second Step:
1. Go to START>ACCESSORIES>SYSTEM TOOLS>SCHEDULE TASK
Schedule task wizard will start>click next
2. Click “Browse” and select “connect.bat“
3. Type the task name (anything you want) and then select “Daily“.Now to configure how to run it during Night Unlimited.
Click Next.
Now set the start time to something like say….2.05 a.m.
Set Everyday from the Perform this task option right below that and start date to today’s date.
Click Next
Enter your username and pass on the Next page.
Click Finish.

Update: It does work. I’ve been using it for two weeks now and have no problems at all.

FLV Player for downloaded files from Youtube

I was a big fan of Naruto and in the beginning when I started to download it, I didn’t the the proper sites to download. So I used the Download Helper addon for firefox and and started downloading the files in the .flv format. Media Player Classsic plays the Youtube and Myspace video files properly with the Codec Pack installed, but does not play the downloaded files from other sites like Megavideo and Veoh.

So I started finding another flash video player that plays all kinds of .flv files. I found ANVSOFT WEB FLV PLAYER. This is a good player that plays all kinds of flash video files and gives no problem of navigation or maximize minimize problems like the other flv players.

My favorite Firefox Theme

One of my favorite Firefox theme is Nasa Night Launch. I like this theme very much because of the black look it has which is kind of unique from the other black themes like Pitch dark and Redshift(firefox 2 only).

Other favourite addons include Walnut ,Noia 2.0 extreme.

Upgraded to Firefox 3.0

After a long wait I have finally upgraded my firefox and switched to version 3.0.

Almost all the addons I use are now working fine with Firefox 3 and I am happy with its working.

Think Before You Act

This is a proverb that I was familiar with in my childhood when I didn’t know what it meant but gradually I realized its true meaning.

It does not mean that one has to be aware of his actions because it may cause damage to him but it also means that one also has to consider the damage that one does to others.

Last week, the copy of the answer sheet of my friend had been mailed to him. He had requested the copy since he had failed a subject in The University exams. I was shocked when I saw his answer sheet because according to me he deserved atleast 60 to 70% but he got only 19%.
If the invigilator had some brains he would have valuated the paper properly but he had no idea the consequence of his action. What does a student supposed to do when he flunks in a subject he expects to score the highest? Even in the revaluation his marks did not increase which clearly indicates that his answer sheet hadn’t be revaluated at all.

A New Holiday

Well….. Today was a holiday on account of Kanaka Jayathi. The whole of Karnataka cerebrating the Karnataka Rajyotsava few days back have started a new holiday from this year on known as the Kanaka Jayathi. Don’t ask me what it is for… I guess it has something to do with Kanakadasa.

For student like me it only gets better and better since
