India and Obama?
I came across this post in Rajdeep Sardesai’s blog.
I agree with him for the most part of the post but the thing these media guys need to realize is that we are looking up to wrong people. Why Obama?
Rajdeep could have picked any politician from the entire world but still, he chose Obama (whoever becomes the president in US is going to make little difference in the political relationship between the two countries, So why do the American ASS KISSING?).
One thing that we need to realize that the Indian and the US politics are entirely different. In India one need to be a exceptionally great ( Some kind of a Messiah Ofcourse) to win an election without a having a well known party behind him.
Take Karnataka elections for example. There were on 6 Independent candidates who contested and won. This is among the 224 something constituencies. And most of these guys are former Congress guys who didn’t get the ticket from the Congress. This numbers evidently suggest that it is very difficult to contest an election without having a good party. If BJP and left are the cadre based parties and Congress, DMK and NCP are feudal then where else can a contestant go???
It only asks for a change in system. Once Amit Varma mentioned in his blog India Uncut that the best thing about US Politics is that although Hillary Clinton and Obama are the in the same party they had to fight it out to get a single and most able candidate out of a lot. Such change is welcome in Indian politics.
Hang Musharraf?
I read this news on TOI. Check it out
The crowd, running into several thousands, chanted “hang Musharraf” as it listened to the two-time former PM’s fiery speech. “Is hanging only for politicians?” said Sharif, referring to former PM Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, hanged by a military dictator in 1979. “These blood-sucking dictators must be held accountable.”
If hanging Prime Ministers or Presidents is the solution of the problem then in India we would have hanged all of them. But one thing is proved that if you rise to a high position in Pakistan either you are assassinated by the Army head or the hanged to death.
WordPress !!!!! Sometimes I just hate it!!!
I’ve trying to know more about WordPress ever since I hosted my blog on this platform.
I read a few reviews which compared Blogspot with WordPress and almost all of it graded WordPress as No.1 Free Blog Hosting Service.
But the problem is I’ve been writing this blog for sometime now and I feel that my options are just limited. I cannot change theme other than the one supplied by WordPress and also don’t know how to install plugins also. I tried to check the wordpress support but it but all it tried to show was some FTP thing, upload ,change directory and file permissions which left me completely CLUELESS!!!
Tried to integrate Feedburner with it and when I try the support again comes install Feedburner plugin. Well, there are such no options in the webpage.
In Blogger it was real easy. Just google the plugin name or type, The providers of the plugin will provide a HTML code for it. It has to be pasted in the customize template option and the Plugin or Theme or Whatever will be working.
I just hope some of my friends who know something about it might be able to help me out.
