Worst Team in IPL

The whole of the tournament I thought that the Royal Challengers were the worst of all the teams since it didn’t have the firepower that is usually need in the T20 format of the game. Even Vijay Mallya, The owner of the team said that he was congratulated by his friends for making a test team. Dravid , Kallis , Kumble and Joshi were all noted to be the Test Players since they had the temperament but not the ability to maintain a high runrate by hitting some good shots( sixes I mean).

But I came across another team which was different from the Royal Challengers,Had the firepower, the skill, the experience, and also a very high strike rate. You know who I mean …… Yes, Its the Deccan Chargers.

Having Adam Gilchrist, Scott Styris, Herchelle Gibbs and Shahid Afridi in a team makes it totally impossiblr to beat since they have very high Batting Average as well as the the High Strike rate ( Actually I expected 200+ score in every match they played…… But unfortunately nobody succeeded in putting the team together. In the bowling even Vaas and Rp Singh failed. It took youngsters like Rohit Sharma and Venugopal Rao to play some good innings but all in vain.

So who is better Royal Challengers from whom there was very little expectations or Deccan Chargers whose performance as worse than the Royal Challengers but were expected to reach atleast the Semis…..

Elections Yesterday

Being a Kannadiga I got to exercise my right to vote yesterday. I’m not all that kind of a political guy. But I was not going to waste my first vote my not voting at all. So I went and voted for BJP ( It doesn’t make a difference for me).
Also NDTV exit polls suggest that BJP is going to lead this time as far as the obtaining the seats is concerned. But is it enough to obtain the majority? Or will we have a hung assembly again? It is for the time to decide.

Rajdeep Sardesai: So you are saying even if the Kolkata Knight Riders don’t reach the finals of the IPL, Sourav Ganguly stays the captain? Right?

Shah Rukh Khan: Not reaching and winning is not an option. I don’t even think like that. But Sourav Ganguly will be the captain of this team till he is 106 years old.

I just pray that Shahrukh’s team does not reach the finals… Then we’ll see how long will he take the ever irritating Sourav Ganguly as the Captain.

Boothnath……My Review

I watched Bhoothnath today at home and it was a very good film. In this film Amithabh Bachan plays the character of a Bhooth who befriends a boy by the name of Banku and the story is about the friendship and the attachment between the Ghost and the Boy.

The first half of the film was really good and shows the mischievousness of the boy Banku and his reaction with the Bhooth. But the second half of the film was a drag and could have been shorter since there was needless emotions and a melodramatic story of the Bhooth himself. Overall 3 stars out of 5

Blog Editor Alternative

Ever since I switched to Windows Live Writer I’ve been wondering whether there is another Blog Editor which is as powerful and good as Windows Live Writer…..But I was not able to find any other software which was as good and efficient as the WLW itself.

First I got the Scribefire Addon which had all the decent features but there was no setting of the posting time and the proper pinging to famous search engines like Google Blog search and many others. ( Still it was usable for Quick Blogging) But the Ultimate disadvantage of Scribefire was that it could not load the categories created in the blogger blog. So I had to find some other software.I started testing various software recommended in this and this.

Even good blog editors like W.bloggar and Qumana which has many of the features could not load the categories from Blogger.( Might be the fact that Since I’m new to blogging I could not configure it properly for my blog). But anyways even if thats the case it makes it very difficult to configure…….. After checking all these I was about to conclude that there is no Blog Editor which is as good as Windows Live Writer.

But yesterday I downloaded a software called Zoundry Raven. It was the kind of a competitor that might give some competition in terms of features. The categories could be loaded for Blogger also and it had all the other features that the other blog editos have and most of the features that Microsoft Windows Live Writer has. Very easy to configur and very easy to use…. It can also import the settings from Windows Live Writer which was a very good feature and which other editors did not have.

I’m testing still testing it so could not say much about it…… But I’ll keep posting bout my experience with the software.

Update 1( July 10,2008): Zoundry Raven has a lot of bugs. One is that it does not keep updating the labels used in blogger and also cnnot use the save as draft feature. Publishing a post on multiple blogs is also a problem using that.

So switched back to Windows Live Writer which do not have any of these problems.

Also using a lot of Scribefire for quick Blogging directly from Firefox.

Hostel and Hostel2

I watched the movie Hostel and Hostel2 the other day. And it was terrible movie. I would have loved to watch nice movies but this one I didn’t expect to see. Very brutal movie. In Hostel2 there was scene in which a Penis of a man was cut by the woman and it was thrown to the dogs. I was about to vomit at that time.

I don’t know why I watched that movie. Can’t call it a complete waste of time but it was ok in the sense hat they scared the hell out of me.

Bush,Manmohan,Sonia and Aishwarya

This is a very good joke I got as an sms.

Bush, Manmohan, Aishwarya Rai and Sonia Gandhi were traveling in a train. The train goes through a tunnel and gets completely dark.Suddenly there is a kissing sound and then a slap! The train comes out of the tunnel.The women and Manmohan were sitting there looking perplexed. Bush is bent over holding his face, which is red from an apparent slap All of them remain diplomatic and nobody says anything.

Sonia is thinking: These Americans are all crazy about Aishwarya. Bush must have kissed her in the tunnel very proper she slapped him.

Aishwarya is thinking: Bush must have tried to kiss me but instead kissed Sonia and hence she slapped him.

Bush is thinking : Damn it! Manmohan must have kissed Aishwarya. She might have thought it was me and slapped me.

Manmohan is thinking: If the train goes through another tunnel I will make another kissing sound and slap Bush again.
